This privacy policy explains how we handle user information in our app “Cek No Rangka & Mesin Offline” (English title “Check VIN & Engine Number”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This app explains the meaning of a vehicle frame number (VIN, called nomor rangka in Indonesia) and engine number (nomor mesin) for motorcycles, cars and trucks: the manufacturer, country of assembly, estimated model, model year, check digit and other parts of the number.
We DO NOT collect, store, or transmit the frame numbers or engine numbers you enter. When you type a number, it is decoded locally on your device using the reference database that ships with the app, and the result is only shown on your screen. The app has no search history, no accounts and no servers, and we do not collect personal data such as names, contacts, photos or location. The app does not use the camera.
The app does not connect to any government, police, Samsat or manufacturer database, and it does not look up the owner, registration, tax or legal status of any vehicle.
The only things the app saves on your device are a small setting that records that you accepted the notice shown at first launch, plus a local copy of the reference database that ships with the app.
Our app uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob requires an internet connection. Google may collect and use certain data to serve and measure ads, such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction data. Whether ads are personalised depends on your device settings. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in your Android settings (Settings > Google > Ads).

This app is designed for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
Since we do not collect or transmit the numbers you enter or any other personal data, there is no personal data stored on any external server of ours that could be breached. The data you input never leaves your device through this app. Ad-related data is handled by Google according to its policies.
This app only requires access to the Internet (INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) for the purpose of loading Google AdMob ads. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may also declare advertising-related permissions (for example AD_ID). The frame and engine number features do not require any permissions and work without an internet connection.

Model, model year and engine information is therefore an estimate and may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Not every manufacturer uses the check digit or the model year code. The app only explains the meaning of frame and engine numbers. It cannot detect stolen, cloned or altered vehicles or numbers. A matching result does not prove that a vehicle or its documents are genuine, and a mismatch does not prove that they are fake. Always rely on the official documents (BPKB/STNK) and confirm with the authorities or an authorized dealer. The developer accepts no liability for the use or misuse of the app or its results, including decisions to buy or sell a vehicle.
