Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

App name: Kode Area Telepon & Cek Nomor (com.htd.kodeareatelepon)

1. Introduction

This privacy policy explains how we handle user information in our app “Kode Area Telepon & Cek Nomor”. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This app helps users look up Indonesian landline area codes, the operator of Indonesian mobile number prefixes, and international country calling codes, safely and offline.

2. Information We Collect (Zero Data Collection)

We DO NOT collect, store, or transmit the phone numbers or search terms you enter. When you type a number, a place name or a country name into the app, the lookup happens 100% locally and offline on your device, and the result is only shown on your screen. The app has no search history, no accounts and no servers, and we do not collect personal data such as names, contacts, call logs, photos or location. The app does not read your contacts or call history.

The only things the app saves on your device are a small setting that records that you accepted the notice shown at first launch, plus a local copy of the reference database that ships with the app.

The “Call” button only opens your phone's dialer with the number filled in; the call itself is made by your phone app, and this app does not request the phone-call permission. The “Copy” button only places text on your device's clipboard.

3. Third-Party Services

While the lookup features work entirely offline, our app uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob requires an internet connection. Google may collect and use certain data to serve and measure ads, such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction data. Whether ads are personalised depends on your device settings. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in your Android settings (Settings > Google > Ads).

Please refer to Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

4. Children’s Privacy

This app is designed for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

5. Data Security

Since we do not collect or transmit the numbers you enter or any other personal data, there is no personal data stored on any external server of ours that could be breached. The data you input never leaves your device through this app. Ad-related data is handled by Google according to its policies.

6. Permissions

This app only requires access to the Internet (INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) for the purpose of loading Google AdMob ads. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may also declare advertising-related permissions (for example AD_ID). The core lookup functionality does not require any permissions.

7. Data Sources & Accuracy

Data compiled from public sources: Wikipedia, Google libphonenumber, and Komdigi. We do not own, operate or control these sources.

There is no downloadable official list of Indonesian area codes per regency, so area codes were cross-checked between the sources above. Some newer regencies (mainly in Papua and North Maluku) have no reliable source; the app marks them as “Perkiraan” (estimate) and assigns the code of the regency they were split from. Mobile operators are identified by the number prefix, which shows the operator that originally issued the number. We do not guarantee that any information is accurate, complete or up to date. Listing a source here is not an endorsement and does not mean that the source is affiliated with this app. If you believe any information is wrong, please contact us (see below) and we will review it.

8. Disclaimer & Affiliation

This application is an independent utility tool and is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Indonesian Government, including the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi), or with Telkom Indonesia or any mobile operator (such as Telkomsel, Indosat, Tri, XL, AXIS or Smartfren). Operator and brand names are used only to describe which operator issued a number prefix.

The app cannot find the name, address or location of the owner of a phone number, and it must not be used for fraud, spam, harassment or any unlawful purpose. The developer accepts no liability for the use or misuse of the app or its results.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this document. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
